Visit Sierra Leone的点评
点评：We utilized VSL for 2 services:
1. Airport pickup and transfer to Freetown via boat- I scheduled this for a few of my colleagues and it all went smoothly. I liked that I was able to book it online and that they offered different versions: door-to-door, just purchasing your boat ticket, and everything in between.
2. Tour of Bunce and Tasso Islands- the tour was great. Abudulai was an excellent guide, especially considering he was fasting for Ramadan! His ceremony at the beginning of the Bunce Island tour was very touching and felt so respectful of what had happened there. The private boat was lovely. Lunch at Tasso Island was pretty good, served family style- rice, a palm oil sauce with a vegetarian option and a mixed chicken/fish/crab option, and a variety of clams/mollusks, served with soda and water. It was tasty but the $15 per person price seemed very high. The museum on Tasso Island afterward was great! It's one big room filled with a lot of information and artifacts. I was surprised by the high price of the tour, but it seems everything in Sierra Leone is expensive. Be sure to bring extra cash (in addition to the entrance fee on Bunce) for tips for the various visits and for the Bunce donation box.
The communication with VSL was good. Email was the most effective. There are several phone numbers posted online, some of which connected me with someone and some of which didn't.
I will use their services again on my next visit to Sierra Leone!
