点评：I could enjoy a perfectly organized short but intensive trip to Jinka (4 days), Turmi and to various tribes in the remote southern area of Ethiopia. Colorful markets with people from four tribes (Ari, Benna, Mena and Hamar tribes) were offering their products in Kasafer. A visit to the Dassanach tribe in Omorate, crossing the Omo River in tight wooden boats, exploring the tribe`s daily activities, made a very deep impression on me. The absolute highlight, however, was visiting the village of a Hamar tribe, and experiencing their traditional bull jumping. The three hours, including the preparations for this event alone, was an unforgettable, unmissable experience. Families, neighbors, lots of people were already waiting, eating, drinking local beer, singing and dancing and this created an atmosphere of expectation and excitement. With the singing, dancing and stamping of their feet, the women were warming up for the actual event. The air was filled with dust and vibrations. And finally, the bulls were brought into the village and greeted by the jumper. The bulls were lined up and the jumping started. These were definitely the most impressive moments, unforgettable, indescribable, stunning and memorable. Altogether, anyone who has not seen this part of Ethiopia has not experienced the best the country can offer. This trip was worth every cent; make sure it`s arranged by Travel Africa Tours – you will not be disappointed.
