点评:This was our second visit to Cafe Murano; we came here previously summer 2023. This time we arrived around 20.30 on a Sunday and it was pretty quiet as it was stormy weather. My husband placed the order for 2 appetisers and 2 mains and when the server asked him if he wanted all the food together he said no, he wanted the starters and then the salad with the lasagne. A few minutes later the server brought out bread and oil/ balsamic and whist we were eating this she brought out the appetisers, which were quite nice. Whilst we were eating that she brought out the mains and then the ‘chef’ closed the kitchen down whilst we were eating and sat on the customer side of the bar. The pizza i ordered was really greasy; either they fry the base first or they put butter on the base but having lived in Italy, this is not how the Italians do their pizzas as their food is really healthy. When the server came over I asked for a box as I felt quite sick eating so quickly and then I mentioned the meal had felt really rushed. She said sorry but she tried to space it out and my husband asked her what time they closed. The server said 9pm and I said if we’d realised (as I mentioned websites said it stayed open later) we might have given it a miss and she said “yes we’ve tried to change it on the website but can’t do it” and just walked off. So when she came back to do the credit card (by which time lights were being switched off as it was about 21.15) she never said a word as she picks up the credit card ……so now assuming she’s being ‘offish’ as she’s not expecting a ‘massive’ tip……….. we did leave a tip but asked if we wanted a receipt and brought it and walked off without saying anything and my husband said “have a good evening” so she felt obliged to respond. What is disgusting is the concept that she was ONLY being polite and nice for the tip and not because she works in Customer Service job!! Suffice to say …….WILL NOT BE COMING BACK
