点评：I was in Tartu for a weekend and ended up coming to Aega On both days. It’s that kind of place — super chill, low-key, and really inviting.
The vibe is slow and relaxed. You will most probably meet the owners: Kristi and Kristjan. Super friendly couple.
The café is divided into several areas: a coffee corner, a self-serve wine area (yes, you literally pour your own glass), and a small clothing boutique with a surprisingly good selection and spacious fitting rooms. I ended up buying a bag and a lovely blouse.
Special attention to the real plants (love-love-love), a beautiful terracotta room (literally a pinterest corner), and one detail I loved: they’ve kept a piece of the original floor from the 100-year-old store that used to be there. It feels authentic and thoughtful without trying too hard.
Food-wise, there’s no big menu — just coffee, tea, wine (white, red, rosé, champagne), and mimosas. I had their seasonal rhubarb pie and kartulisaalat (potato salad) and honestly, I’d go back just for that.
And then there’s Max, their hypoallergenic white dog (a Wheaten Terrier). He just roams around, quietly checking in on guests. He's very calm and very charming.
If the weather's nice, there are a few outdoor tables - perfect for people-watching or soaking up the sun.
