点评：I don’t usually leave negative reviews, but this visit was quite a letdown and felt like it needed to be said.
Let’s start with the food:
• The bread roll came with only one side buttered – and even that was a poor effort using cheap margarine that hadn’t even been spread properly.
• The chips were clearly frozen supermarket chips – definitely not homemade as you’d hope from a place like this.
• The sausage roll was almost unrecognizable. What should have been flaky pastry turned out to be just a greasy lump – completely unappetising.
• The salad was thrown together with no care – the lettuce was just a thick slab, the onion wasn’t sliced into rings as it should be, and overall it looked lazy. I actually like salad, but not this kind.
• The pork and stuffing cob came dry – no gravy at all, which made it difficult to enjoy.
• The pickled onions were tiny and not what you’d expect as a proper accompaniment.
• The Gala pie did have egg in it, but it was so minute it was barely noticeable.
• The onion rings were heavy with batter – far too thick and overwhelming.
The only thing I can genuinely compliment was the Guinness – poured well and had a decent head on it.
Service also left a lot to be desired. The staff came across as quite miserable, particularly the bald man behind the bar. His expression honestly made me wonder if someone had just died – no warmth, no welcome. It really affected the whole atmosphere.
All in all, I wouldn’t rush back. Plenty of potential here, but it needs serious improvements in both the kitchen and the front of house. After speaking to 2 other couples they had said it was a let down, disappointing and other had a smell yesterday on their visit?

• 加拉派里确实有鸡蛋，但量太少，几乎感觉不到。
• 洋葱圈裹着厚厚的面糊——太厚重了，让人难以忍受。
我唯一真心称赞的是吉尼斯黑啤——倒得恰到好处，泡沫也不错。
服务也有很多不足之处。工作人员看起来相当沮丧，尤其是吧台后面那个秃头男人。他的表情真的让我怀疑是不是刚死了人——没有温暖，没有热情。这真的影响了整个氛围。
总而言之，我不会急着再来。这里有很多潜力，但厨房和前台都需要认真改进。在和另外两对夫妇交谈后，他们说这里令人失望，令人失望，还有人昨天来的时候闻到了一股味道？
我们大部分的食物都给狗吃了！
