点评:We had lunch there in early September on our way from Arkhangelsk to Petrozavodsk. It's located exactly where the M8 motorway and the road to Kargopol' intersect.
It has a modest exterior and serves straightforward dishes at reasonable costs. Their specialty is solyanka, a thick and sour Russian soup consisting of meat, mushrooms, pickled cucumbers with brine, cabbage, pitted black olives, and spices. Some chopped dill and a slice of lemon are usually added before serving.
We took the solyanka, of course, along with three sausages with macaroni, some bread and a kettle of green tea. The soup tasted amazing and was served scorching hot, just the way I like it. The other food was nice too.
It cost us three RUR 530 (≈ USD 6). Amazing...
Recommended for a quick, quality snack.
So why do I believe its owner is a border guard? Well, the space was adorned with Russian Border Service banners, pictures of soldiers and officers, and corresponding memorabilia.
