Zin Food + Wine House的点评
点评：Very disappointed. Three of us dined for a degustation 5 course birthday treat and found the food very uninspiring, unimaginative and lacking in finesse. Paying a fortune for sliced salami with a couple of tapenades and beans with bread and butter; half a small beetroot each on a base of soft fetta; a bland pasta dish with potato, 3 bok choy leaves and some crunch. The beef dish was marginally better, as was the dessert. The wines were quite nice but again, way overpriced.
The atmosphere was internally ok, apart from being subjected to a couple arguing for most of the night. Service was good. Our waiter was informed.
Regardless of their garden produce, house made pasta and alliances with foodie "friends" this was not translated into creating an exquisite, flavoursome, interesting and aesthetically pleasing menu to remember. A team, capable of delivering diners a positive experience to remember, would be appreciated.
Overall, Zin House is overrated, overpriced and doesn't meet their philosophy, marketing jargon or write-up. What a shame.
