点评:This venue has been home to some good restaurants and more recently one of the best restaurants in Noosa, Frenchies which unfortunately closed down.
Sardo is unfortunately none of these.
It is possibly the worst food I have had in a restaurant in Noosa in 20 years and another to add to the long list of Noosa restaurants that I will never return to.
The service was friendly and informative and our young waitress was very good.
However the overpriced food was substandard and way overpriced.
$50 for a main pasta dish and $66 for the worst steak I have ever eaten.
The prawn bruschetta was terrible. Two tiny cold pieces of bread with two tiny cold prawns drowned with burrata. My wife and I couldn’t eat it.
The burrata ravioli with prawns and lobster was filled with the same sickly burrata topped with a few chopped up pieces of prawns. I couldn’t identify any lobster.
The calamari was dry and overcooked.
The eye fillet was even worse if that was possible. I was bought up in a butchers shop and know my meat. I hate my meat pre sliced as it lets out all the juices. This tiny portion of meat was covered in rocket and cheese.It definitely was not eye fillet, because eye fillet is not full of gristle.
Management were very poor at handling our complaints.
Before I made the booking my wife remembered that we had tried their restaurant in Sorrento in Victoria a couple of years ago and were very disappointed. When we arrived home I googled the Sorrento venue and found exactly the same menu except for an additional $6 Noosa tax on the eye fillet.
I definitely do not recommend this place and suggest you spend your hard earned money somewhere else.
My wife said the highlight of her night was the French champagne.
The Sardinian beer was below average.
