Hidden Gem Beach ideal for swimming …

点评：This beach is truly a hidden gem only known to locals & those with summer holiday homes in the area.
Situated a 10 minute scenic drive from the better known Özbek Akkum Beach. You can reach here via 6063 Street from Özbek Akkum which joins 6209 Street and then finally 6201 Street which leads you direct to this beach. When you reach the water on the left hand side there is ample parking and a pebble beach while on the right hand side there is a concrete concourse with seating and steps at regular intervals so that you can climb straight into the sea. Even though there is no sand or pebble beach on this side, this is the most popular with locals. If you follow this side, further along there is a small pebble beach area ideal for small kids which is bit protected from the sea.
If you are on your own boat there is also a mooring area in a shaded cove at the tip of the right hand side.
The place gets its name from the 11 Houses that were originally built here. This is predominantly a summer holiday home location of residents from mainly Izmir and Istanbul, even Urla. In fact the concourse and the sea faces the back gardens of some of these lovely homes.
All in all, this is a great place to cool down and swim directly in the sea. Best to arrive before noon to avoid an influx of people. The afternoon does get busy, but you can always find a spot to drop your towel and go for a swim. It is truly an idyllic spot.
