Where is my Coffee的点评
点评：The building that this coffee store in is a stunning piece of architecture and when you wander inside it is beautifully converted. But... one should not judge a book by its cover.
I asked if they had a breakfast menu, they pointed to the glass display and I asked if there was a chance I could have something simpler... like toast. The young lady asked if they had any bread, there was none so they referred us to another cafe. I found this action to be utterly bizarre... the lack of choices was peculiar but that does happen. What was more unusual is the lack of smile. Either way we left and had breakfast a few doors up.
However, based on the name of the this cafe... I still held out hope and we returned for takeaway coffee. The service ( different staff this time) also did not come with a smile, in fact... it was quite ordinary. It appeared as though the staff were disinterested in being there. Waiting for coffee gave us more opportunity to look around and it truly is a remarkably attractive cafe.
But then the last blow came... the coffee was average. Really average. We were in town for business reasons and one of those reasons was that we had a new person starting in her role... I mentioned to her when we arrived at the offices that I was a tad disappointed with the coffee and she told me I should have asked her first... she had tried the coffee and will not return.
I am really hoping this business was just having a bad day because how could it be possible that such an attractive cafe has substandard service and ordinary coffee.
