点评:Members of the family had boasted about how good the quality of food at this restaurant tasted, so I had to try.
On a busy Saint Kilda Friday evening, four family members and I attended this busy Vietnamese restaurant. It appeared a little lacklustre as I walked in, so I thought I should manage my expectations. Whilst busy, the waiter served us very promptly with our requested drinks. Sparkling water, some mocktails and mostly the Vietnamese beer, Hanoi, was ordered. The Hanoi was good when ice-cold, but not as good when warm. If I were to order again it would be the Singha (Thai) or the Asahi (Japanese).
After ordering the food for dinner we received copious amounts from the menu. I did not try the soups, but they looked delicious, and apparently tasted delicious. The latter may be corroborated by family that consumed them.
I ordered the roasted duck with pancake, cucumber, carrot and scallion, which was served with a sweet sauce (very similar to Cantonese Hoisin sauce). Completely delicious. The duck was cut into small, but succulent strips. The meat was cooked to perfection with the quintessential crispy skin. The sweetness of the sauce and the crunch of the vegetables complemented the duck well.
I also ordered what I know as the 'summer rolls', which is described on the menu as Rice Paper Rolls. These were equally delicious, containing plump prawns and many different crunchy vegetables, accompanied by a satay sauce.
We enjoyed a portion of Vietnamese Chicken Friend Rice. This was a decent portion and tasted as good as it looked. The ingredients appeared fresh.
The Chicken with Vegetables and Cashew Nuts was also delicious. Fresh, crunchy vegetables with succulent chicken. Very nice indeed!
We all tried Beef with Mongolian Sauce. The beef feel apart, as it was so tender and succulent. It was the first time I tried Mongolian beef, and it won't be the last.
Overall, the food was very great, and I would say competitively priced for the area.
Our waiter was incredibly efficient, having dealt with a fairly large number quickly.
The atmosphere is very busy, but comfortable.
Whether you reside in St Kilda, in Melbourne or elsewhere, and you enjoy south-east Asian cuisine, give this restaurant a try. You will not be disappointed.

如果我再点的话,我会选择 Singha(泰国)或 Asahi(日本)。
