点评：Stopped in for dinner whilst staying in Tamworth. It's always inevitable you run into one rude country person who seems to smell a city person a mile off and decides they don't need to be polite simply because you're from out of town.
In Victoria, when you go into a pub or bistro they tell you whether there is table service or whether to order at the bar. It seems in NSW no matter how many bistros, clubs or pubs we visited, they absolutely will not give you any indication of whether to get yourself a table or wait for someone to seat you. My husband approached the bar man and politely asked "Do we just grab a table and then order up here..?" to which he snapped "yeah" with the most disgruntled attitude he could muster. There was only one table left so we took it and ordered. My husband also ordered some drinks and was unfortunately met with the same sassy attitude from the same barman again. We were disappointed, but so be it, he must've been having an off night. As we were eating our meals, a group of women came in and sat at one of the tables, at which point the Salty Barman comes over cheerily and says "Oh we have plenty of room upstairs, would you like to find a table up there?" and smiles them upstairs. So it was apparent that Salty Barman wasn't sour with everyone that night, just us, and he was actually capable of providing seating information to patrons.
The food was good and I can recommend for that reason. But the attitude of the barman was typical of a country pub owner who doesn't like seeing faces he doesn't recognise. Would choose another pub next time to spend our city dollars at.
