点评：So this is the second time I’ve been here in the last 2 month. First time it was … the sauce was not a red wine jus but I thought well decent cut of meat places can get things wrong although it did ruin my dinner as curry flavored sauce on duck was not ideal.
Today the starters were nice. Basic but certainly acceptable. Nothing ‘ to write home about’ . Unfortunately my main was not great. There was no sauce as described… got it only when I asked. Must have forgotten. Meat was dry even with sauce, certainly cooked for too long. The Thai gratin was had no flavor. Small and uninspiring. Why it was described as Thai is beyond me. The vegetables were ridiculously small. 5 green beans and the tiniest bit of broccoli. Shocking actually.
I booked this on a discount site so my food was half price. The main meal was not worth ( for me 23 dollars) had I of paid 46 I’d of likely needed a defibrillator. The pickled shallots really the only thing with flavor and I had to ask for more as only 2 possible at best 2.5.
The gentleman who greeted us was lovely and certainly a huge improvement on the previous man … who was not!
The building is lovely, nice music at good level to have a chat but this main meal was terrible …no nice ambiance could over compensate. I’m sorry but guys for the money you’re charging you will have to up your game to compete with the restaurant about town. Bland, very small portion ( my friends was bigger ) no sauce, dry. The food did not again reflect the description from the menu at all.
I gave this place benefit of the doubt of the doubt ( as they did have a big group in last time ) when I originally came. We ate at 530 tonight, so not super busy, so this can’t be an excuse for what I hate to say was poor meal saved only by the small amount of pickled shallots as only thing to have flavour.
Very disappointing but lovely service. I won’t be going back.
