ZigZag Tours Provides a Unique New Zealand Experience

点评：If you are interested in visiting New Zealand let me recommend booking a tour with ZigZag Tours. I returned home this week after having an amazing time doing ZigZag Tours 16-day 15-night Top of the South Tour.
I had a fantastic New Zealand experience with nine fellow adventurers and Jemma & Grant, the owners and operators of ZigZag Tours. The tour is a bit different in approach in that travel is via a 12 passenger Mercedes van pulling a custom-built trailer. The van is very comfortable with excellent leather seats with two USB charging ports each. The trailer has roof mounted solar panels, a kitchen area, dual refrigerators, and multiple storage areas for personnel luggage and the camping gear. Each person, or couple if traveling together, has an amazing stand-up headroom 3-person canvas tent, folding cot and camp chair. Grant and Jemma are super helpful in assisting with camp setup, but the tents and equipment are so well designed and of such high quality that you will quickly get the hang of it. If you need help it is never a problem getting it. At any rate the tour itinerary is set up so that most of the time we spend two or three days in the same campground so you will not be packing up camp every night.
Each morning breakfast is provided, tea, coffee, toast, cereal, fresh fruit, yogurt. Most lunches are on your own as frequently we are off hiking, skydiving, kayaking, sightseeing in town or doing some other individual or group activity away from the campground. Some dinners are on your own as well but over half the time at 7 pm or so Jemma had a fabulous culinary feast set out for us.
Since the evening are long during Summer in NZ after dinner we might just sit around and talk or walk to beach and watch the stars come out or play games.
Having an individual tent allows people to have their own space. Our group of very diverse individuals got along very well. I think part of the reason that was so is that we all had our tents as a personal space to call our own.
If you are interested in touring the amazing, beautiful country of New Zealand and like the idea of doing so with a small group of like-minded people while being guided by two extremely capable, knowledgeable and friendly people you will not be disappointed with ZigZag Tours!
