点评:This is not the spot if you want to meet up with a group of friends and everyone buy each other drinks ! As soon as you reserve the table that credit card gets everything and everyone’s bill.
I realise non split billing happens in some venues but this is not conducive to being out with friends. I was told that I would have to pay the bill for over 12 people and then ask them to pay me back.
The sparkling (not champagne) at $120 was not available so of course had to buy a dearer option !
All credit to the host after she explained how their “systems” and bar were not set up for buying drinks individually (per couple) did sort our situation by arranging a table in Eastend cellars (sister company/venue) where they allowed to enjoy the process of “buying” and the Bollinger was suitably priced at $120. Our evening got much better when we moved venues.
In groups people want to choose their own wine - gift people and enjoy purchasing they don’t want to have it all on one bill and then try and pay that friend the next day. We had a great time in Eastend cellars with us buying for the table and our friends also buying.
We were a group of over 40s and another group of 20
Year olds. As soon as “one tab” is realised the ordering gets wild. One tab for restaurants is fine and understandable but for drinks it’s just doesn’t work. Our friends
Wanted to gift us a bottle of champagne and after some hassle actually managed to “pay” for it themselves. Of course they did - it’s one click on an electronic system. Absolutely ridiculous that the venue isn’t customer focused to allow this to happen. How easy for them to have one credit card pay everything - how inconvenient for the customer. Who chases their friends for money for the bottle they ordered.
