Outback Spirit的点评
点评：Because we enjoyed our 2023 Outback Spirit Arnhem Land tour so much, we took the Leichhardt Savannah tour in August 2024. It lived up to all our expectations. Our driver/guide and tour leader/guide were delightful, friendly people, very good at their jobs, articulate and able to share their considerable knowledge. Passengers' safety and enjoyment was paramount.
The 4wd vehicle was very comfortable for the very long distances. Stops for refreshment and "leg-stretching" were planned for pleasant, shady picnic sites. We visited special places, some available only to Outback Spirit, and travelled roads where we would not take our own vehicle. We met and mingled with locals and learnt about their lives in this isolated part of Australia.
Accommodation was in clean, comfortable, ensuite rooms. Most were air-conditioned; fans were provided in others and we slept comfortably.
Meals, chosen from limited menus, were delicious. Those passengers who had notified special dietary needs were catered for very well.
Wifi / internet was not available at one station and signal on the roads was patchy. Satellite phone communication was always available for emergencies.
Fellow passengers were mature, mostly retired, of varying levels of fitness. Length and difficulty of walks were clearly described, a shorter, less taxing alternative was available.
We are looking forward to our next Outback Spirit adventure.
