Great place but a lack of renovation

点评：We spent 3 days in Banda island as a family, attracted by the nice pictures and the promise of a cosy and isolited experience. So how we justify the 3 stars:
Positives point:
The phone contact with deveen the manager is nice. He knows how to sell his place and the explanation to reach the island were very detailed and understable. We were surprised with the insistance to pay in advance but it is ok. As prices look changing quickly we paid 90$ per night plus food and transport.
When you arrive by the public boat, after 3 hours cruising it is a really breathtaking impression to see this beautiful beach in middle of nowhere. The little houses are on the beach and are lovely.
Our hostess Doreen was great and helpfull so like the rest of the team.
Points for improvement:
After the first wahoo effect it looks lile all the place lack maintenance and amenities for the price asked.
The house aged, poor quality mattress, holes in the mosquito net,...
Also for the service, no free filtered water, need to bargain to use the kayak freely, ....
These points could be acceptable with a 25/30$ per night but hard to understand with a 90$ per night and a promise of luxury campsite.
As a conclusion don't hesitate to go Banda, the place is beautiful but be clear about what you will pay for.
