点评：We were really looking forward to visiting The Cave Bar after seeing the photos online, but unfortunately it was a total mis-sell – especially if you're new to Mellieħa, as we were.
The images on TripAdvisor and Google make it look like a stunning bar set inside a deep cave with beautiful views of the cathedral. In reality, the ‘cave’ is only about 1.5 metres deep – more of a shallow alcove than anything atmospheric – and any views that may have once existed are now mostly blocked by a newly built property. You basically just sit in front of the hotel pool, with no real ambience or charm.
It also took us ages to find – and we weren’t the only ones wandering around with phones out trying to figure it out. All in all, we wasted almost an hour of our holiday – finding it, going in, sitting down for a bit, and then leaving without ordering.
I don’t enjoy leaving negative reviews, but I wouldn’t recommend this place. A real disappointment and not worth the effort.
