点评:Wow! What a wonderful experience from start to finish! We went for dinner on a rainy Monday evening. As is typical, they open for dinner at 7:00pm. We arrived at 7:30 and had the entire place to ourselves the whole time. The waiter was a wonderful gentleman who was present when needed and discreet when not, a dying art!
The food was delicious! The beginning course of olives, bread and a board of ham and the house made cheese was just what we were in the mood for. (as a reminder, often the restaurants bring these unordered, you can always wave them away ;-) )
The Javali na panela de ferro ( wild boar in iron pot) was a fabulous stew of wild boar in a deep gravy, served with a bean dish. Borreguinho assado no forno (lamb roasted in the oven) with roasted potatoes was amazing. All topped off with a vinho tinto it was a great experience! Only regret was not trying dessert!!!
