I have stayed at Rainforest resort, Athirappilly, on 11/12th May 2024 and had to undergo the organised loot by the fraudulent management and staff at the resort.Everything was good, other than the food( very limited choices, we need to have what they offer)at the resort till the check out time where the planned, organised loot by the staff starts.When you check in, the so called doctor at the resort brief you regarding the activities at the resort. He told that as we have booked the celestial room, we will be having complimentary spa service and trekking.Even though we were not interested in the above said activities, we thought of trying out the offer as these were promised as complimentary.The organised loot starts during your check out.The staff will give you a heavy bill of Rs3950/- for spa service and trekking which was offered as complimentary. When you enquire regarding the same, they will tell you that the complimentary service was offered to only one person and the other person had to pay the charges which seems to be a funny explanation. Another couple was also having the same experience and they too were having an altercation with the staff regarding the same issue. It then became evident that it’s an organised loot by the staff either with the knowledge of the management or may be with the silent consent of the management. Few hours after check out, one of the manager called for the review where I explained all these, but there was no solution or sorry from his side also. So please be vigilant with the freebies offered by the staff over there.When I went through the previous reviews, I have seen some review where the staff contacting a tourist for some more money, and he is telling that if he doesn’t send that it will be cut from his salary. The same strategy was being used with us and I have yielded to that.
So please be aware of these fraudulent staffs and be safe.
