点评：First time visiting Block Island and decided on the Surf based on a recommendation from a member of our group who had eaten there before.
Great location and great view of the ocean from our table. Food was delicious and reasonably priced.
Not all was good however. First the wait time for our meals after we had ordered them from the bar took way too long, almost 30 minutes. We get the fact it was a Saturday night and the area was hopping but the dining area was not that busy. Frankly even if it was that busy that's still a little on the longer side.
Secondly, when the food did arrive, the wait staff brought out the appetizers and one of our party's meals while the rest of us had to wait. Having worked in the industry and just based on experience, normally a restaurant will hold all the meals until, at least the majority of them, can be brought out together.
Finally we perceived the staff as being a little on the sterile and cold side. Not necessarily rude but more aloof.
We would still return given the quality and price of the food but we'd also hope that the staff would be a little more cognizant of wait times for food and perhaps smile once in a while.
