点评：After some shopping myself and my partner decided to stop for a couple of drinks before heading home. Lots of tables had reserved signs on however found a table without a reserved sign, it was around 2.30pm. After my partner brought drinks from the bar, a staff member came over to tell us the table was reserved from 4pm. This was annoying given there was no sign on our table however we didn’t plan to stay past that time.
At 3.30pm a staff member came over telling us we had to leave as the party had arrived early. We said we were told 4pm however their response was they needed the table now. We asked if we could finish our drinks and the look on the staff members face suggested we needed to leave immediately.
She left the table and within a minute another staff member came over saying we needed to leave. We said again, we were told 4pm and it’s only 3:30pm and she said , “well you shouldn’t have sat at a reserved table should you.” We said, for one, it was not reserved and two, we were told it was reserved from 4pm and it’s only 3.30pm. Her reply was simply, “whatever” and walked away.
I am not the type of person to complain but the attitude was so shocking and unprofessional. My partner spoke to the manager on shift on the way out and explained how we had been treated and he had no response whatsoever.
Safe to say I will not return to the Engine Room. I’ve been several times before and found it very unprofessional when they stick a reserved sign on your table after you sit down however the unprofessionalism today was on another level. The attitude from the staff today was shocking.
