点评：Siamo americani, living part time in Piemonte. I'm writing my review, and in English, because
1) I would like my fellow stranieri to understand a little more, the proper Piemontese lunch or dinner.
2) It is my hope that you the reader will experience the joy and beauty that is a meal at Garibaldi.
To begin, several reviews complain of no menu and no prices posted. Ok, I understand your discomfort. My first meal at Garibaldi was not as a resident but as a tourist. My daughter-in-law said that she would prefer to see a menu. Chiari answered, "Can I ask you to trust me? I will ask you a few questions during the meal. I will feed you until you tell me to stop and then I will charge you a fair price." My son and his wife are both travellers and foodies. During the meal and during our second bottle of quality nebbiolo my son nervously said to me, "this is incredible but it's going to be five hundred euros."
In fact, it was 130 euros for four people to experience an unforgettable evening.
As a resident, when we tell an Italian where we live, they almost invariably exclaim, "Ah, neaby to Garibaldi!" This is where you take your wife to make her feel precious. This is where you surround nonna with her children and grand children at Sunday lunch. Every local has a cherished memory at Garibaldi. The owners of another famous Piemonte restaurant told us her parents had their wedding dinner at Garibaldi and also their 50th anniversary celebration.
I urge you to dine at Garibaldi. You will not forget the place. You will not forget the meal. And you will not forget Lino, Francesco, and Chiara.
