Four star not five
北宁大凤凰酒店的点评
点评：I would not rate this as a five star hotel, a four star would be appropriate. The room was nice, but a bit small. The beds were very comfy and were the best thing about our stay. There was no mini bar or snack tray, which I would consider obligatory for a five star. The breakfast was sub standard and had little variety for westerners. The hotel has no coffee shops, and one restaurant which is the breakfast room, so you need to go out to find coffee or eateries, however there is not much at all in the vicinity so expect to catch a taxi. The indoor swimming pool was ok, but nothing special. The policy of giving one card for the room is annoying, as it means that if someone wishes to go out, they can't return to the room without help from staff, who seemed in short supply. On checkout, a lady came to get our bags, and told me to put them on the trolley as she couldn't lift them. When the taxi came, we had to take our own bags out as there was literally no one around. Yes, I'm being critical, but it's supposedly a five star, and we have stayed in many. A pleasant stay, but I give 4 star.
