点评：Lovely pub in lovely location
Stayed in Portsalon all through 70s and 80s. Coming from trouble torn Belfast it was a haven of peace and tranquility .
Imagine our disappointment when on Saturday night the music in the pub became a total celebration of the IRA terrorist campaign. The whole bar celebration terrible atrocities.
Can I say I am no prude. I play in bands in pubs all over Northern Ireland and I am aware there are a lot of pubs and clubs in the North where this sort of sectarian music is played , both loyalist and republican. However , these pubs do not sell themselves as family , holiday bars. I would expect a wee bar in a beautiful seaside resort to ensure that it was welcoming to all. One of my friends suffered terrible loss in La Mon house bombing ( get some of the youngsters chanting “up the RA “ to look that up ). He was devastated to hear what was going on that night.
Sorry I had to write this but surely in 2023 this should be a thing of the past.
