Great gym, poor customer service.
Alenda Club De Golf的点评
点评：Three stars is an average of our experience here. I need to break it in half and give the facilities 5+ stars and most of the staff 1 star.
Facilities: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️… The gym/fitness center is world class. Superb. They have every single machine you need. And multiples so if you want to bench press simultaneously with five of your closest friends, you can! Do you want to have a lat pull down race with your lover? Get it! We don’t have an adequate vocabulary to completely describe the awesomeness of this gym.
There are also various classes offered and rooms dedicated to cycling and Pilates.
Staff: ✨ (They don’t get all three of these stars, just one. And not the big one, one of the smaller ones.) EXCEPT FOR CARLOS, who was sweet, respectful and knowledgeable, the staff was rude, unprofessional and inconsistent.
Carlos was our first post of contact and he was a rock star. He answered all our questions and if the answer was a negative one, he had the personal skills to frame it as positively as possible.
Then we wanted to know if we could buy a gym membership and share it between the two of us. (Some background here: They do monthly and two-week memberships. My partner and I were there for one week, so we wanted to know if we could buy a two-week deal and split it.)
To find the answer we talked to another employee and eventually his manager, and neither of those hombres were the most pleasant. Maybe they were having a bad day, maybe they didn’t want to work together because I wouldn’t to spend any time with them either, but our interaction made me want to hit something, hard. Sit down and buckle your seatbelt for this emotional rollercoaster. They have a driving range! My frustration and anger was as well-placed as it could be. I could go whack some balls!
But I didn’t have clubs. Places in the states let you use their rental drivers so I didn’t think this was an issue. This was an issue. I would need to rent an entire set of clubs to use a driver. While I pondered that, the employee asked for my license. In the states we don’t need a license to use a driving range so this was another thing to ponder.
I can admit when I’m wrong or ignorant and this was one of those times. But there was no compassion or “let’s see if we can figure this out together” vibe. Just two crusty guys stuck in an air conditioned office who seem to not care if we’re happy customers.
Speaking of happy customers, if your restaurant has its business hours clearly posted, it should be open during that time. Unfortunately we weren’t able to experience the kitchen or bar offerings because the first time we went in there, around 3PM one day and during their hours, a chef-ly looking guy came out from the back and said the kitchen was closed.
Overall, use the gym. Try to find Carlos to buy the membership and use that gym as much as you’re physically capable. Otherwise, keep your head down and go about your business.
