Elephant & Castle - Brittas Bay的点评
点评：I had returned from a weeks holiday in Spain the Sunday before and had decided to extend my sense of holiday by one more day. When it comes to sun holidays in Ireland it can only mean one thing…..Brittas bay, Co.Wicklow. Granted, there was no sun on the day in question but Anthony and his team brought the sunshine when after a lovely solo walk on Brittas bay I had worked up an appetite for a particular type of spaghetti……a yummy goats cheese and black olive spaghetti that sounded absolutely delicious and one that didn’t disappoint on delivery! Anthony greeted me at the door and offered me the best seat in the house. A lovely table for two with a view. I was seated with a lovely vantage point, angled at just the right position to take in the full view of the Irish Sea in the not too far distance and my table was re-arranged for one.
I was unfortunately time poor so I opted for a non-alcoholic IPA as I was driving afterwards and a main course of the appealing spaghetti and a side of fries. Table water was also provided and Anthony checked in on me to ensure I was happy with everything. I was.
Overall value for money. I guess because I had just came from a week in Spain I felt it was a little bit on the higher price point for pasta.
Will I return??? Can’t wait to get the opportunity to go again to be honest. Would I recommend?? Absolutely 110%. Such a lovely place to stop off in. The bar is very cosy too with a real fire.
My only feedback to offer room to improve would be clearer windows to enjoy the view more (quite foggy) and fix the non stop flowing tap in the mens restrooms. Waste of water! Other than that…..what you waiting for? Go feel like your king of the castle TODAY!
