点评：My parents were in from out of the country and wanted some solid German food. Our favorite German food place was closed for the holidays, so we searched in Weiden for an open place that served German food. We found Heinzelmann, and they really put their best foot forward.
We came before a normal dinnertime, so we were able to be seated right away. They had menus in German and English, and had a wide selection of food, including soups, a cheese spread, traditional German staples like schnitzel and Schweinebraten with Knödel, and some less expected items such as chili con carne and an Italian pasta dish. It was a cold day, so we were happy to find large glasses of decadent hot chocolate available, both in white and dark chocolate. We definitely ordered some extras, so the meal wasn’t the least expensive meal ever, but I would say the regular prices were pretty reasonable for a drink and an entree.
We don’t live super close to Weiden in der Oberpfalz, but when we are there, we will happily consider dining at Heinzelmann‘s again.
