点评：We went there last July as we had booked a table for 21 guests. It was my mum's 90th birthday. We did not know what to expect as we had never experienced this restaurant before.
Firstly, I must say that I was amazed by the kindness of the owners who agreed to book the table 2 months in advance (in May) without asking for a deposit. July is the peak season in the region and even if they had asked us 10% of the total bill as a deposit, I would have accepted.
When we arrived with my aged mum and our guests, the restaurant owner greeted us warmly and she and her team had already prepared the two tables.
The food was amazing and the service was great: free flowing and always with a smile from the waitering staff. It was impressive to see how efficient the team was. Menus are very affordable and the quality of the food is excellent.
The little extra that made a real difference was that they came with 3 scoops of ice cream and a candle to wish my mum a happy birthday. They did not have to do this and it was a nice gesture that my mum was touched by.
The location of the restaurant is also amazing: right in front of the harbour.
If you are in Les Sables d'Olonne and wish to experience the local food delicacies, L'estaminet is the place to go.
