点评:We were very much looking forward to this Michelin linked restaurant and were very disappointed. Let me start with the fact the food on its own would have gotten a five star review. The ingredients were fresh and the courses sublime. The reason for the two star review is the service. We came on a rainy day and it seems the restaurant staff have no idea how to handle having to accommodate both restaurants in one location when it rains. In addition while it is clear the chefs in the kitchen are well trained, many of the serving staff are definitely not. When we walked in for our reservation the staff, including the manager, at the desk were not welcoming in the least and had a stiff attitude with an air of confusion. My husband trying to lighten the air and practice his very good Italian decided to start by ordering water and couple of drinks in Italian and our waiter did not understand what he requested (the waiter possibly did not speak Italian or not very well as my husband is close to fluent). The waiter not only went to reply to us in English it was clear he couldnt actually understand that too well either when I asked questions or shared concerns during the dinner (or he was just too overwhelmed to understand). Thanks very much to a server named Axel who came in to help and was extremely polite and professional and I wish had been our waiter rather than just help staff. The manager who I flagged down at some point to take our order as our waiter had disappeared was helpful - but I feel he could have also done a better job for a fine dining restaurant. There is absolutely no ambiance at this restaurant - there is no music, there was no white noise to dampen the awkwardness that comes from hearing other peoples conversations (I did ask our waiter about this in English but he clearly didn't understand my question). There is so much room for improvement in this restaurant and i hope many many changes are made to make this a fine dining experience.
