点评：This was our second time sailing with SilentBay Charter. The first time was in 2014 when we were in Sestri Levante by chance and met Simone while admiring his magnificent VW Syncro Westfalia. He was so incredibly friendly and kind to us random and curious American strangers. When we were about to part ways he mentioned that he had a sailboat charter business and if we were interested, and we had time, he had room for 2 more guests on board the next day. At first we declined because weren't prepared or equipped to go sailing but after sleeping on it and recalling how amazing and generous "Simmo" had been, we called him to confirm our spots. It was a near perfect sailing day and Captain Simmo had snacks, beverages, sunscreen, dive masks and more on board so even though we weren't prepared, he most certainly was.
This year when we returned to beautiful Sestri Levante, there was no doubt we were going to book another cruise with SilentBay Charters and Captain Simmo! Once again, Simmo and his beloved “Muffolo” were fully equipped and prepared to take us and 4 other passengers out for a 3 plus hr cruise with a stop at a nearly private, sheltered beach to swim and relax. Once securely anchored, he deployed boarding ladders on both sides of the boat, offered to photograph our experience and shared his vast knowledge of the surrounding lands and sea. Simmo very clearly and proudly loves sharing his boat, his home and his waters with his guests. His genuine and sincere concern for everyone’s comfort, pleasure and safety was very reassuring as well. Simmo’s English is excellent, considerably better than my Italian plus he has a superb sense of humor too.
If possible, I would give 10 stars to SilentBay Charter and we plan to return next year to sail with Captain Simmo again.
