点评：I’ve been to this place twice (in June and in July) , hoping for a better experience the second time — but unfortunately, I was disappointed both times.
During my first visit, I ordered the caponata. It was completely soaked in oil — really excessive. I tried to drain as much of it as I could, but in hindsight, I should’ve just sent it back. I ended up feeling unwell after eating it, which left me with a very bad impression.
Still, I decided to give them another chance. On my second visit, I played it safe and ordered a tomato salad. I specifically asked for the dressing to be served on the side so I could add it myself. What I received, however, was just a plate of sliced tomatoes with a sprinkle of grated parmesan on top — no lettuce, no other vegetables, no dressing at all. It wasn’t terrible, so I ate it, but the real surprise came when I saw the price: 8 euros.
To put that in perspective, a pasta dish with pistachio sauce costs 11 euros. So how can a few tomato slices and a bit of cheese cost almost as much? In Francavilla, you can buy a whole kilo of fresh tomatoes for just a couple of euros!
After two unsatisfactory experiences, I won’t be returning. Strike two — and that’s enough for me.
