点评:Such a picturesque setting, food ok too, but it was like Basil Faulty is alive and well and opened a cafe in Neyland . Went thought an open door to an almost empty cafe and walked up to the counter. “ where are u sitting? the waitress demanded… outside i said. I was stood at the counter by an orange tape blocking the other doorway. I was told to order I must go to the other side of the orange tape via walking back out the door I came in , across the patio and round the side and back in through another door. I would be then 6 inches from where I started( other side of orange tape) Why? I said. Because it can get congested when we’re busy was the reply. But this afternoon is really quiet I said , can I not just order here. No ! was the answer, neither was I allowed to look in the cake cabinet to choose a cake because I was the wrong side of the orange tape. A cake menu was thrust at me… I said I’d like to choose please from the cabinet… but no exceptions to the rule…”Do you want anything or not ? She snapped! . My disabled husband was now exiting the toilet (traumatic brain injury , usually uses a rollator) and heading for cake stand. I asked if he could choose his own cake? No exceptions, even for disabled., he also had to walk back out the door across the patio and round the side . We were now a few inches from where we’d started the other side of the orange tape. I thought I was in an episode of “You’ve been framed”.
We ordered the coffee ( gave up on the cake) went outside and waited for the coffee. It was duly plonked down on the table by the blonde waitress who now had a face like a slapped ###
I read the other reviews and realised this was the usual service. Such a shame , lovely views and food looked OK but they could do so much better .
