点评：Called here on Monday 31st January. Fancied a boojum coming home from work and remembered there was a Mexican in Bangor I had spied maybe 6 months ago. So off I go to Bangor from Belfast and arrived in around 5. While the venue was quiet the decor was fresh and had a modern vibe to it. I was approached by what I think was the owner to take my order. I hadn’t attended this venue before and was unsure as to what the procedure was but he walked me through the menu and pointed out deals that were available. I was a little cautious to go in the deep end on my first visit so settled for a humble chicken fajita. The owner was super friendly, chatted to me about Mexican food and even the chef exited the kitchen to give his 2 pence. Lovely genuine people. I enquired about a since-expired spicy burrito challenge, although it was expired, he talked me through the idea and said that if I was keen to do it in the summer(massive spice head here) when there would be more staff he said he would see if he could make it happen; what a gent! The food was great, if your only experience of Mexican food is Boojum it mightn’t be for you. Everything tasted so fresh, not processed also the price tag is a little higher but hey; that’s to be expected from a single unit local business. The only small criticisms I may have is that the chicken could do with a little more herbs and spices. and the habanero salsa could be a little bit hotter (the latter I understand is down to personal taste and that is my fault, just whenever I hear Habanero, I expect a little bit of a punch). There was a faint hint of fresh coriander to the chicken which I love, however it really lacked in the smokiness/cumin vibes. Will definitely be back again though, and in all likeliness try another meat to see if I can balance my criticism. Otherwise; top notch stuff. If you’re in and around Bangor and your Mexican food craving gets an itch; check it out. Great people and fresh food.
