点评：We booked a birthday family meal for 9 people in advance. When we arrived there was a large function in their main hall and the restaurant was set with small tables and then an area for us and another large party of around 20. We ordered drinks and these and our starters came quite quickly. After a further hour however we still hadn't had our food and the children in our party were getting hungry. We asked the waitress and she went into the kitchen to enquire. We were offered free drinks /desserts as compensation. After another brief wait the children's food came out. Another ten minutes or so later ours came out. The food itself was good and we all enjoyed it. There appeared to us to be tension between the waiting staff and the chefs.
Overall we had a positive experience and the waiting staff handled the situation well. However we know that the chefs were not happy as they had a large function and large restaurant bookings which they clearly did not have the capacity to cope with. Management must surely take a look at their organisation as if they cannot cope with restaurant bookings at the same time as a large function then please do not accept bookings. Thanks to the positive actions of the waiting staff we did enjoy our evening but if you can't provide the service please don't let people book.
