Mario House Italian Restaurant的点评
点评：Where to start… I never, ever leave bad reviews. I love my food and dine out most weekends with my family, but dining here tonight compelled me to share my experience.
The food was, all in all, distinctly average. I ordered the beef Cajun, which was supposed to come with prawns. However, I found more fat from the steak than either prawns or beef in my dish. We ordered cheesy garlic bread to accompany our mains, but it arrived as we were almost finished eating, despite being told it was “one minute away” earlier.
When our wine was served, it was simply dumped on the table, leaving us to pour it ourselves. I’m not precious about wine pouring as a service, but I know most Italian restaurants take pride in serving wine properly. To make matters worse, no one asked us if our meal was satisfactory, and we weren’t offered a dessert menu. My daughter would have loved some ice cream, but when we asked a waitress for it, she didn’t speak English. Instead of sending someone who could help, we were left waiting until we finally asked for the bill.
The staff was virtually non-existent, hiding at the back of the restaurant. At one point, a waiter walked past us with his hands in his pockets, looking like he wished he was anywhere but there. If you ever read this, mate, I wishing I wasn’t there too!
We tried the number 1 rated Italian before Mario’s but that was fully booked whereas Mario’s was empty - we now know why!
Overall, this experience was disappointing, and I cannot recommend this restaurant.
