点评：I was visiting my mum and we decided to go for lunch after visiting the museum.
We had booked a table which was a good job as the cafe was busy.
On arrival there was a really good busy atmosphere, we were seen to promptly and shown to our table.
There was a good choice on the menu plus (and we hadn’t realised this) it was also the start of the festive menu so we decided to go for the turkey main course. Delicious!
Turkey, gravy, roast potatoes and parsnip, chorizo pig in blanket and Yorkshire pudding with a separate dish of vegetables to share.
Absolutely delicious. We have never had a better festive meal or better service and I have been fortunate enough to have eaten in many places across the UK.
If you are visiting the area - and you must visit Teesdale, Barnard Castle and The Bowes Museum because it is beautiful - you must take time to have lunch here. You’ll regret it if you don’t!!
