点评：This was one of the best chippies in the area but I hadn’t been there for a while until last week and I was very disappointed. I bought cod and chips to eat at Milford on Sea. The chips were soggy and tasted like boiled potatoes which had been soaked in fat. The fish was undercooked and was pretty tough so I put it all in a frying pan when I got home and finished off the cooking but by this time there was no batter left on the fish because it was pasty and had slid off. It tasted ok after I had cooked it properly but the cooking oil just ran out of the food. I’m guessing they turned the fryer temperature down to save energy but that is always a recipe for poor food. I was asked if I wanted salt and vinegar. I said no but got it anyway. On the positive side portion size was good, the price was reasonable, the staff were friendly enough and the shop looked spotless as always. In particular it is usually easy to park right outside. I only leave reviews if something is exceptionally good or exceptionally bad.
