点评：I have been going to The Metropole Restaurant since the 1970s. I got to know Sula the owner, and her father Alex, before her. It has been a family run restaurant since the 1960s and is always quite full. It is open all year, unlike most other restaurants in town who open for the tourist season only. It is supported well by the locals, which is always a good sign. If the food isn't good - the locals will stay away. I have never had a bad meal there, my favourite was Fried Chicken Maryland. Sula always welcomes us and any friends we take in there, even our friends from California who have been in there with us, always visit when in town, and Sula knows them well.. Sula and her husband (the chef) must be nearly at retirement age now. What a pity if the decide to close soon, it will be a blow for Great Yarmouth as it is always busy and a fine restaurant. If you visit Great Yarmouth you must give them a try. You won't regret it.
