Pleasant 1 night stay but drinks a bit pricey!

点评：Stopped over Saturday evening as we were attending a wedding. The room was a little dated but comfortable and clean. The bathroom contained a bath and a mixer head shower (connected to the bath taps) so not that powerful and insufficient pressure, forcing you to stand close to the tiles to get washed. Not ideal and a bit old fashioned these days, also not easy to get the temperature right quickly!). Overall enough wardrobe space and beds were clean and comfortable.
We used the leisure facilities (pool and spa) which were really busy so difficult to swim as children also using the pool. The outside areas are pleasant, with adequate seating. Although we didn’t during the day, the menu selection and prices seemed ok. The drinks however we found to be on the pricey side…2x lager shandy’s and 1 large coke £19.10! I think they charge for a pint and add another £1.75 on top if you ask for lemonade to be added…very poor form indeed as a pint is already £6.60.
The breakfast menu and food was good so no complaints there.
Overall, not a bad stay which cost us £148.00 for 1 night direct from their website, including use of gym / spa. You may be able to get it cheaper via another booking site but be aware, they will charge you extra for the leisure facilities.
