Great family run bnb in beautiful town.

点评：James and Jill, the owners work incredibly hard to run this inn. From keeping on top of the DIY, cooking breakfasts, service and great food, this pub is a joy to visit. They are renowned in the village and having been there only a few years have established themselves as a vital part of the community. Mondays and Tuesdays it seems to be the only place serving food in April, as most other places seem to be looking for staff. But their food and friendly service was great.
I stayed in the annex as I was concerned about noise from pub, I needn’t have worried as the pub closed at a respectable time and a lot of the guests seemed to be walkers/riders who were keen to be up early and back on the trails.
My room was a twin, clean, great powerful shower, bed a little soft and noise could be heard from above, but it is an old building so creaks expected.
The only thing I noticed would be that some fresh fruits and yoghurts would be nice at breakfast instead of the standard cereals, but there was a delicious smoked kipper available from a local smoker, so go for that!
Parking, perfect location, friendly welcome and the food make this place a great stop. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay again x
