点评：What a fantastic location. From the moment you drive up to Luton Hoo, you get the impression that you are in for a treat. Entering the building just increases that feels. Sadly, that’s where it ends!
I took my partner for Valentine’s Day dinner. We decide against the set meal (£160 per couple) as it was just too much food, settling for a sirloin steak off the A La Carte menu.
When they arrived, they were missing the onion accompaniment and my medium-well done steak was rare (and had to be sent back). The meal didn’t improve, as my impression of the steaks were that they were fairly low value with far too much fat which, in the low lighting level, resulted in a fairly embarrassing moment as trying to dispose of it! Paying £37 for this meal was absolute daylight robbery (I’d bought a lovely fillet steak from Aldi the week before for £5).
After the disappointment of the main, we hoped that the desert (banoffee pie) was going to change our mood. Sadly it didn’t. Absolutely nothing special. I’ve had much better from Tesco express!
It is such a shame, as the location is something special, but the restaurant is absolutely lacking!
