Let down by room and cost.

Well i wasn't going to write a review but when leaving hotel today we where not asked how our stay was. I would have aired our issues there then and not on TripAdvisor.
Firstly all the staff, bar & restaurant/breakfast where great so no issues there.
We booked this hotel as hoping for a luxury break and being expensive thought it would be. unfortunately the room was a big let down, especially for costing £670 for two nights. Roomy enough but no wardrobe, only a hanger rail with the only mirror in the room behind it so cant see once clothes hanging up. The windows in the room and bathroom wouldn't open as so old. Extractor fan not working in bathroom. We were on ground floor look on to back of kitchen, rubbish bins, weeds and worst of all the kitchen staff used the area outside our window as their smoking stance. I have no issue with staff getting smoke breaks etc but give them a decent shelter. The hotel is weary. Still cant believe they can charge so much for a basic room with no A/C. It was room 51 by the way. We stayed 18th to 20th July.
