点评：We booked a Sunday lunch at the very last minute, and despite being fully booked, the team kindly managed to squeeze us in.
The set menu is a real bargain at £32 for three courses. I began with the venison croquettes, which were honestly one of the best things I’ve ever had if not the nicest thing I’ve ever eaten: perfectly crisp, full of balanced flavour, and a very generous portion. My partner had the duck salad, which was just as impressive.
The main courses were outstanding. Every detail was spot on, from the perfectly cooked sides to the generous servings of beef topside and pork belly. The flavours were rich, hearty, and beautifully balanced, exactly what you want from a Sunday roast, but elevated.
Dessert was the perfect finishing touch, every bit as good as the rest of the meal.
Overall, the food, portion sizes, and attention to detail were faultless. I can honestly say this was the best Sunday lunch I’ve had anywhere and well worth seeking out.
