点评：I felt that, with the exception of my starter, my Spice Rouge experience was adequate. My starter of stuffed chilis was extremely disappointing. It was mostly made of the crumb coating, it didn't taste of anything and I still don't know what they were stuffed with after eating the four, only four, of them. They were VERY expensive for what they were. I tried a small piece of my friend's liver starter. That seemed really nice, sort of balancing my starter experience to adequate. The tandoori mixed grill was adequate. About the right amount but could had done with some garnish. I had a peshwari naan with it, which went OK. I asked for a pint of orange juice and lemonade, but got a pint of orange juice, which is a lot of orange juice. Second time out, I asked for a pint of lemonade, to sort of balance things, but mixing them in my tummy is not the same thing. Despite this, overall, the service was adequate. The atmosphere on the night was quite good, but this was mostly because there were eleven of us and we brought the atmosphere with us – in a middle-aged, conversational way - nobody was drunk or rowdy. When the bill came, they had added on a 10% service charge !!! I did not think that adequate service warranted being stung like that but I was not in charge of the booking so I swallowed it, about as comfortably as I swallowed the stuffed chilis. Over all, I won't be going back. Spice Rouge is far from the only restaurant along there. Perhaps I'll try one of the others next time.
