L'Oursin - Belmond La Samanna的点评
点评：My husband and I went to L’Oursin for our last meal on our island vacation and we thought it was the best meal we had on the island. Every dish was super flavorful and the views were absolutely breathtaking. Our only issue was that while making the reservation, there was a section to note any allergies for you or the other members of your party. I had listed that I can’t eat red meat. When we arrived and were greeted by our waiter, he asked if there were any allergies for the table and I again mentioned that I can not eat any red meat but more specifically any beef products. The very first course (an amuse bouche which was a treat by the restaurant and not something we knew was coming) was beef carpaccio. I informed the waiter that I couldn’t eat that dish and he replaced it with a vegetarian one but it made me very apprehensive for the remainder of the night as we selected items on the menu for our dinner that didn’t mention any red meat in the description but you never know what ingredients (such as beef broth) the chef uses to make these wonderful dishes. The menu was also French focused and there is a slight language barrier with that so I had trusted the staff to warn me while we ordered if anything would contain a beef product in the making of the dish. Thankfully the meal was wonderful and I did not have any reaction to any of the foods but this was an issue that I feel needs to be addressed by management and the wait staff as we clarified twice my beef allergy and yet the very first thing they brought out to serve was beef. This aside, the food was incredible and you won’t find a better dinner view.
