点评：There are many options for snorkelling and swimming trips aboard boats in Malta. Some of these are on large boats, run by relatively large companies - on board bar, a couple of hundred passengers, slides, places to jump off - you get the idea. We took one of these trips, and it was great. So great that we wanted another swim around the islands of Malta.
This time, we booked onto a smaller boat, with a smaller company, Luzzu Dream Waves. We arrived for 8:45am, and boarded a lovely looking boat - no slides, no large bar (although the captain does sell drinks) and far fewer passengers. What we got was better views, more destinations, and a far more personal experience. In short, this unassuming boat far outdoes its larger counterparts in every category.
You will not find a more attentive captain, nor will you find you find a more relaxed experience of this kind. The boat stops briefly at several points of natural beauty to enjoy the views, and makes three longer stops for swimming and snorkelling. The captains rents out snorkelling sets for €5 for the day, which is extremely reasonable. There is an opportunity for the captain here to big money from drinks - after all, he has a monopoly in sales whilst you are on the boat. However, prices are very cheap, and this feels very much like a personal choice from the proprietor, who is clearly not aiming to greedily profiteer. At one point, a passenger had a run in with a jellyfish - one of the hazards of sea swimming - and the captain provided treatment, guidance and care.
The waters around Gozo and Comino are of course beautiful, with Crystal Lagoon the best of the bunch, particularly if you are interested in seeing the fish, and this is just the perfect way to enjoy them. If you are making a choice on who to travel around the islands with, I would highly recommend that you book with Luzzu Dream Waves.
