A highlight of my trip to Iceland

点评：I took a 3 hour private tour of Heimaey Island through the Island Guide. It was one of the highlights of my 10 day trip to Iceland. We circled around the island, which has spectacular views & landscape, a fascinating history & culture, and puffins, which I really wanted to see.
The tour guide, Bjork, was outstanding. The Island is gorgeous. Bjork's English is outstanding & she comes from a family that's been on the island for many generations, so in addition to seeing beautiful places, I learned a lot about the culture of the island- from how Christmas is celebrated to how the 1973 volcano impacted residents. I have health issues that can limit my ability to be as active as I'd like. Bjork planned a trip that took my limitations into account but still afforded me the opportunity to see as much of the island as possible. I highly recommend her tours.
