点评：This lovely restaurant was a fabulous surprise! We are staying nearby, in Plomodiern, and decided to try it - and we were thrilled with our experience!!
We had the smoked trout appetizer and the "gazpacho" (really, a fresh pea, mint and feta cold soup) to start, both of which were other level. The soup was so good I asked the chef for the recipe, which he graciously shared so I can now try to replicate at home. The main courses were a fresher-than-fresh hake for me and filet mignon for my honey, and again, really top quality. Desserts were also yummy - rice pudding for him and a red-fruit sorbet for me.
What impressed me almost as much as the quality of the food was the price point, which was beyond reasonable. (I saw a comment or two suggesting the prices here are high - not so!! A comparable meal in the US would be twice the price). The wine was tasty and we appreciated management's decision not to apply the typical ridiculous mark-up to the price.
Finally and equal in importance to the high quality of the food - the team is superb. The chef, Fabian, is as kind as he is talented; his co-owner, Theo, is a delightful and generous individual, and Jean, our server, was professional and attentive, as well as a font of knowledge of this beautiful area they all call home.
We look forward to this restaurant getting all of the positive attention it deserves. Thanks for a really fabulous evening; can't wait to return!
