Tucked away within the gleaming, newly constructed Mercedes-Benz dealership, conveniently located just off the E4, lies this culinary oasis. Whether I'm heading north towards Stockholm or south towards Malmö, Gothenburg, or Jönköping, this place I always try to visit.
What makes it so special? It's the surprisingly high-quality food and the thoughtfully curated, albeit concise, selection of lunch options. On my latest visit (my sixth, to be precise!), I opted for the pork chop, generously draped in a classic sauce béarnaise and accompanied by potatoes. The unexpected star of the dish, however, was the scattering of crispy fried ruccola on top – a delightful textural contrast and a flavour I'd never encountered before. It was a simple yet brilliant touch.
The ambiance is unfussy and efficient, in the best possible way. You select your meal from behind the counter, ensuring a quick and seamless experience. The self-service coffee, bread, and salad bar offer well-prepared and varied choices to complement your main course.
